There are five Top 25 head-to-head games this coming weekend starting off with No. 24 Navy at No. 15 Notre Dame, Saturday November 16th, at 11:30am on NBC. No. 19 Wake Forest is on the road at No. 5 Clemson at 12:30pm on ABC while No. 6 Georgia takes on No. 11 Auburn at the same time on CBS. No. 17 Minnesota is at No. 18 Iowa at 1:00pm on FOX followed by No. 9 Oklahoma at No 12 Baylor, 4:30pm on ABC. For you Bruin fans who are praying for a miracle in the PAC-12 South, UCLA will be in Salt Lake City to take on the No. 8 Utah Utes at 5:00pm on FOX in a must win game to stay alive in the South.
For those of you who follow the Big-10, on Saturday at 9:00am on FOX there’s Michigan State at Michigan. In what started off as an in-state rivalry game in 1898, now a conference rivalry as well, the teams have played 111 times with Michigan winning 70, Michigan State winning 36, and five games ending in a tie. In the state of Michigan there’s no game bigger and this year they’ll be meeting appropriately in the largest stadium in the United States, University of Michigan’s own football stadium in Ann Arbor. Hosting crowds greater than 115k with an official capacity of 107,601 it is simply known as, “The Big House” They’ll be playing for the “Paul Bunyan-Governor of Michigan Trophy,” which is a four-foot tall wooden statue of American Folklore’s giant lumberjack—representing Michigan’s history as a major lumber-producing state.
